Biography
Mylene Schrijen started playing the tenor saxophone at age of 20. After 2 years of practising almost every night she could make a living out of playing in clubs and quitted her job as graphic designer. She toured with the Funk Brothers in 2004 and got a job in teaching saxophone- and ensemble at the music school in Hasselt, Belgium.
After learning to play reeds, music theory and arranging Mylene took up the double bass. On that instrument she plays in several jazz, latin and bigbands. |
